Dr.Joy Varghese is a highly experienced and accomplished hepatologist and liver transplant specialist who has made significant contributions to the field of hepatology in India He is a pioneer in the use of therapeutic plasma exchange in various liver conditions and has successfully used hyperimmune plasma for hepatitis B virus-related liver transplantation. He has played vital role in setting up liver transplant programs in both Government and Private institutions at Tamil Nadu & Kerala.
